PREPARE. PREVENT.
We want you to be prepared. That preparation will help prevent dehydration as well as unnecessary and unwanted OSHA enforcement. It is important to consider, water alone will not put back the electrolytes lost during activity, especially with your rigorous work schedule.
Sqwincher® understands the importance of providing electrolyte replenishment. Staying hydrated isn’t a once in a while thing. It’s an all-day, every day necessity for everyone—especially in the workplace. Sqwincher electrolytes have over 45 years of hydrating hardworking people and keeping them safe everyday. Now that OSHA has launched their National Emphasis Program (NEP) for Outdoor/Indoor Heat-Related Hazards, allow Sqwincher electrolytes to assist you in preventing DEHYDRATION in the workplace.
WHY SQWINCHER? Not every electrolyte beverage fits all. Everyone is unique in their own way and have various dietary preferences. It is also important to consider health and premedical conditions when selecting an electrolyte. Sqwincher electrolytes are scientifically formulated with potassium and low sodium. Some individuals do best with low sodium (hypertensive), no sugar and low calorie (diabetics), or even dye-free options. Visit the product section and review multiple options for your facility and employee safety: powder or liquid bulk mix, ready-to-drink, liquid or powder single serve, and lastly, the famous freeze pops – Sqwincher® Sqweeze®.
DEHYDRATION is defined as an inadequate amount of fluid in the body, or fluid is lost faster than the replenishing rate. Did you know that the human adult body is up to 60% water1? You need to maintain a balance and staying well hydrated can be a challenge. A fluid loss of 1-2% can impair performance2.
So how does your body keep this balance? A process called homeostasis. Your body has a special receptor that detect changes happening inside of you and constantly working to respond accurately. The first response in a dehydrated scenario is the thirst trigger. However, the fluid you lose is not just water but also key minerals your body needs to function – better known as electrolytes. Water is a necessity, but water alone can’t put the electrolytes back.
Electrolytes aren’t just critical in sports settings after you’ve worked up a good sweat. They are a key part of good health and ensuring the proper functioning of the overall body. The body must maintain a delicate balance between the various electrolytes, since even small fluctuations can cause serious side effects.
